the winners of the Okami contest....! I'll be honest, I felt disappointed...(who wouldn't ?)...but then I was also really surprised...O__O No offense to the winners but I really thought
would be a winner...with that STUNNING piece of art work...!Oh well...as I thought, the judges have their tastes....llll

WHAT?
some people wanted to see my earlier works....
and I dug out these...XD
I'll display them chronologically.
year 2001my very first work using Photoshop... (Sirius Black and Remus Lupin)
here is bit of improvement...with Photoshop. I love this outfit that I designed for Zelda~XD
I don't know why I was using MS Paint...with a mouse!!
anyway, LOVE this game...the most beautiful Taiwan PC game EVER!! (to me)
year 2000the period where I made major improvement...the style is most similar to what I have currently.
starting from left: Demeter, Persephone, Hera, Zeus.
Apollo and Artemis.
I did these mythology drawings for my 9th grade english project, and I was really bad with coloring...didn't know CG yet. (unless you count MS paint)
year 1998~1999I just came to USA, and was totally into the Ocarina of Time. done in MS paint, with mouse.
year 1995~1996the sailor moon was made in MS paint with a mouse on a old 486 computer...(the very first computer in my family)
I remember I did a Rayearth one with MS paint...but I lost the printout of that one...
I found this one when I was in Taiwan in 2006...I still remember the moment when I was drawing this. It's Magic Knight Rayearth (in case if you can't tell...XD) and I was haveing trouble drawing Umi's face, after many times erasing and drawing, I made a hole in the paper...so as you can see, there is a patch...lll
I kept drawing ALL the TIME. I started off by copying beautiful artworks from Sailor Moon, woks of CLAMP, etc...Many people practice by copying other works, even the great masters. When you copy the work, you learn from them, and over time..you'll develop your own style. Of course it'll help to learn and understand anatomy and perspective by taking some classes, but what helps the most is practice.
You must have heard many artists say this...it's ALWAYS practice practice practice!
just keep drawing...just keep drawing...and you'll be surprised at how much improvement you can make...^__^
